Q: Do I have to go through each module in order?

A: No. While each module follows a logical progression through the tutorial you may choose whichever module suits your specific needs.

Q: How do I get to a section within a module?

A: InfoWiz allows you to choose a section within a module. From InfoWiz's homepage (or from the menu bar at the top of each page) go to the Navigator button located on the left-hand side of the screen and click on the hypertext link. A InfoWiz window will appear on your screen. Then:
  1. Using the drop down menu option, choose a module.
  2. Using the drop down menu option, choose a section.
  3. Choose a topic, which will appear as a hypertext link on the right hand side of the InfoWiz window.

Finally, close down the InfoWiz window and you will find yourself in the specific module and section you selected.

Q: How do I search for a topic?

A: From InfoWiz's home page, click on the Search button which is located in the menu on the left hand side of the screen. Type your search terms into the box and click on the SEARCH button. Your results will be appear as a list of page titles. Click on the title that looks like the closest match to your query.

If you are within one of the modules, the search button will be located at the top right hand side of the screen.

Q: How can I get help?

A: You can get help at the Library's Information Desk or contact your Subject Liaison Librarian.

Q: Can I access this tutorial from home?

A: Yes. The InfoWiz Online Tutorial is accessible from the Library, Student Computing Labs, staff offices and from home via the Internet.
