Moondani Balluk Indigenous Academic Unit
Moondani Balluk Indigenous Academic Unit was established in February 2006 as part of the Faculty of Arts, Education & Human Development, located in the School of Human Movement, Recreation & Performance. The unit will commence delivery of the Bachelor of Arts (Kyinandoo) program in Semester 1, 2007. Moondani Balluk Indigenous Academic Unit was preceded by the Koori Development and Support Unit, Indigenous Services and Moondani Balluk (Indigenous Services).

Foundation for Aboriginal & Islander Research Action
The Foundation for Aboriginal and Islander Research Action (FAIRA) is a community organisation owned and managed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The FAIRA site contains news, including a link to the Land Rights Queensland newspaper, coverage of all relevant issues and a link to CERD, the United nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination with fulltext details of Australian submissions.

Reconciliation and Social Justice Library
This library of legislation is provided by AUSTLII. It includes significant documents concerning reconciliation and social justice which are not otherwise available via the internet.

Aboriginal Languages of Australia Virtual Library
There are more than 200 Australian Indigenous languages, most of which have been destroyed; all the others are endangered. This site has annotated links to over 130 resources for nearly 40 of these languages.

Centre for World Indigenous Studies

Organisations
ATSIC
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission was Australia's main indigenous agency. On 16 March 2005 Federal Parliament passed the ATSIC Amendment Bill repealing provisions of the ATSIC Act, and in particular abolishing ATSIC. Because of the historical imporatnce of the ATSIC website it is now stored in the National Library of Australia's Pandora digital archive.

N.B. The Federal Government transferred responsibility for ATSIC-ATSIS programs and services to mainstream agencies from 1 July 2004. Details of the new arrangements can be found here. In particular the Federal Government has established an Office of Indigenous Policy Coordination within the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs. Details of OIPC programs can be found here.

AIATSIS
The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies is an independent Commonwealth Government statutory authority devoted to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies. It is Australia's premier institution for information about the cultures and lifestyles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
peoples. Includes links to their Native Title Research Unit, Family History Unit, Aboriginal Australia Map, publications, seminars, research grants and their Library.
Reconciliation Australia
Reconciliation Australia is an independent, not-for-profit body. The website lists details of events and projects. The Resource Centre has full text documents such as speeches, media releases and their newsletter. Reconciliation Australia was preceded by The Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation which existed from 1990 to 2000 and has an  Online Archive.

United Nations Commission on Racism
World Conference, 31 August - 7 September 2001

The Tribunal is a Commonwealth Government body that facilitates the making of agreements among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, governments, industry and others whose rights or interests may co-exist with native title rights and interests.
Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH)

National Indigenous Council

Message Stick
Message Stick is the Indigenous gateway for ABC TV and Radio. The gateway is a collaboration between Indigenous departments in Television and Radio and also included is the Aboriginal Employment and Development Program (AEDP). It includes a link to their online forum, Black Telegraph, and their daily news online news digest, RADAR. This site also contains hundreds of links to other important indigenous sites and forums on the Internet, TV and Radio.
Living Black
Living Black is SBS's Indigenous affairs program
broadcast nationally on Australian television. The series, which began in 2001, focuses on issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, places and events in a documentary style. The site includes details of the current stories plus an archive of past shows.
