| Internet Access
|
|
There will be more access to the Internet than ever, however - in order to
ensure that service levels to everyone can be maintained - we will be implementing
a monthly quota system.
The quota is generous and will be more than enough for learning, research and
study needs. Most students will not reach the maximum as they utilise learning,
research and study related services such as email, databases and ejournals,
normal Google searching.
If the maximum is reached - the access speed will be slowed to that of
a standard dial-in modem for the remainder of the month (speed limited). Web resources will
still be accessible - just at a lower speed. The following month, the
quota will be refreshed and internet speed returns to normal.
