Printing & Saving Exam Papers - TIFF Format: Prior to Semester 2 2000

You need to use the icon which appears just above the exam paper:

eg.Print & Save Icons

Printing using the normal Netscape/Internet Explorer File and Print will not work.

Accessing the TIFF Format Exam Papers using the Mozilla Browser:

  • The Mozilla browser may require a plugin for access to Exam Papers in the TIFF format.

Plug-in Not Loaded

  • Click on "Get the Plug-in" and follow the steps.

Troubleshooting
  1. Printing from one of the campus library workstations:
    If printing from exam papers produces blank pages 

Try placing a check/tick in the High Resolution box when you are selecting the number of pages to print. It will take longer to print but may resolve the problem

  1. Printing from a remote location:
    If printing from exam papers produces blank pages - check  your printer settings.

For Windows 95/98:

  • Go to start
  • Select settings
  • Select printers
  • Click on the icon related to the printer you are using (eg. HP LaserJet)

From within the  printer window:

  • Go to Printer
  • Select Properties
  • Click on Details
  • Click on Spool Settings
  • Set the "spool data format" to EMF
  • Click on OK
  • Click on OK
  • Close Printer settings window
  1. If you wish to save the exam paper to disk - you need to an image program such as
    Microsoft's Imaging (often comes standard as part of Windows 98 or 95) to view the file.
