Endnote at Victoria University
What is Endnote?
EndNote is a bibliographic software application that allows you to create a personalised database of references. References can be entered manually on your computer, or imported from sources such as the library catalogues, journals and databases.

EndNote can be used to insert in-text references into your documents, and create bibliographies for assignments, research papers, thesis, or articles for publication, in a number of referencing styles.

EndNote is useful for Academics, researchers, postgraduate, higher degree and undergraduate students who need to manage a large amount of bibliographic data.

EndNote XI

The current version used at Victoria University is EndNote XI. There is not much that is different in terms of the way it looks and functions from version X, but version XI has many enhancements.  See: What's New in EndNote XI.

EndNote XI is compatible with Windows 2000 (Service Pack 3 or later), XP and Vista. EndNote is compatible with Word 2000, XP, 2003 and 2007. After installing EndNote, check for updates: under the 'Help' toolbar, click on 'EndNote Program Updates' (an update for vXI was released in November 2007).

Updates and further information on compatibility can be found at the EndNote Technical Support Site:
