Locating Articles
 Getting Articles
If you search a specialist index you will retrieve some search results for which there is no full text available. As CINAHL (nursing) and Medline (medical sciences) are both specialist indexes with no full text content this is inevitable. Following, are some strategies you can use to locate journal articles:
Check the VU Library Catalogue
Some journals may be held in the VU Library system in print, or in electronic format, or may be available in full text on another database. Checking the journal title in the VU Library catalogue will alert you to other holdings. It is important to check the journal title and not the article title as the catalogue only lists the source journal not the individual content.
If a journal is held in print at another VU campus library, ask about Inter-Campus Requests.
